My Upcoming Trip Through Kentucky

I'm looking forward to my next trip down through Kentucky doing camera work just to show what kind of moron infested cesspool that Kentucky is. Here in a few weeks, I'll take a nice stroll through Louisville with and camcorder in hand just to show what a toxic waste dump of a city that Louisville is and environs around there. Especially nice will be to film all of the trash on the streets and highway and byways around Louisville that the redneck hillbillies leave all over the city and region. 

In fact, its going to be grand dropping through on the way down to Nashville (for business and entertainment purposes) and to visit a couple of old haunts to exhibit what kind of a stinking turd that Kentucky really is overall. I'm sure I could find other places in the United States in big cities that have similar issues. What it is though that Kentucky looks like crap in so many places you would think that no one knows how to empty out their cars at gas stations nor do they know proper usage of getting rid of trash and junk.

The best part will be when these finally make it to YouTube. That will really get all the Kentucky morons up in arms. Just like how every year in the month before the so called horse race in Kentucky they have to clean up the streets around Louisville by having the local convicts and jailbirds clean up the streets and roadways in Louisville during late March and April before the first Saturday in May. It will look better for a week maybe two weeks and then the morons will go back to throwing out their trash along the roadways. Stay Classy Kentucky!!

Kentucky Educational System

One thing about the average Kentuckian is that they're not very bright despite what they want to tell you. These two lovely responses below are more evidence that the Kentucky educational system puts out generations of dummies, malcontents, morons, and people that are incapable of spelling even the most basic and rudimentary words. More evidence is listed below by a couple of rants by our resident dumbasses. This is also in evidence by other comments from Kentucky posters listed here and here. 

No, I can't make this up and minus names which have been redacted its 100 percent what I have actually received from Kentuckians. 

It's quite funny that these people talk about those bashing Kentucky but the truth of it is that Kentucky deserves every bit of the bashing that it gets as an uneducated moron infested state. 

Idiot number one below has a problem spelling the words of "likely" and spelling it as "likley" which sounds like "lickley" or maybe that was what he was doing to his sister in the outhouse this morning. The second mistake our resident flagging genius made was not being able to note the difference between the words "forth" and "fourth" which have two different means as well as two different spellings. 

Next in our Kentucky dumbass registry. 

Idiot poster number two sounds as if he or she has never left Pumpkin Patch, Kentucky in their entire life and barely learned 3rd grade English at the Kentucky country fried school. This posting is totally rich in their stupidity which shines brightly on a very dim state both educationally and intelligence wise. What I love is that its chock full of spelling errors not to mention the obvious stupidity of the poster. Running your state down is easy because when dumbasses like you post you show how bad the education system is. 

Again another poster that doesn't know the difference between "your" and "you're. I love it when some backwoods derelict thinks he knows where I'm from or who I am. I've never been in doubt of any of that which is laughable how stupid that backwoods morons from Kentucky think. Using "where" instead of "were" might help to as in where your family worked. 

Big deal that Kentucky supposedly feeds the world. So do the other 50 states and the other 191 countries in the world. Nothing to be overly proud of. By the way, I grew up on a farm and we weren't backwoods morons like yourself so that's no excuse for being a grade A All American Idiot. 

I can easily say the same about knowing where I'm from and I can spell, write, create, work on vehicles, teach, and instruct myself to do just about anything including my own medical care. Typical of a Kentuckian that they have nothing more than their pitiful little lives to brag about where they are from and who they are. As if anyone else really gives a shit.

To The Good People of Kentucky

Having been to dozens of different states and talked to people in just about all of the 50 states, Canada, Japan and Europe as well as talked to people all over the world via Ham Radio, I've noticed that there are good people of all faiths, backgrounds, beliefs, nations, etc.

The question that gets me is why are Kentuckians overall such mouth breathing idiots. I had to laugh at an email yesterday I received from a commentator regarding that person blaming outsiders for causing all of the problems in Kentucky. Now I can't be naive enough to believe that Kentucky and its problems are only caused from outsiders from Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Tennessee, Illnois, or other states where people relocate from.

These problems have been problems in Kentucky going back generations all the way back to at least the 1930s and 1940s if not back to the days of the Confederacy and Civil War. Not to mention the number of neo Confederate morons that exist in Kentucky these days along with the idiots that fought in favor of the Confederacy which was a traitor nation that even Lincoln knew had to be defeated. All the while Lincoln, a born and bred Kentuckian until age 7 when he moved to Indiana later said that the most sad thing he ever seen was slaves being traded in Kentucky along the Ohio River. Lincoln left Indiana for Illinois at age 21 in 1830.

This excerpt tells why Lincoln and his family left Kentucky because of its backward government even back in the 1820s which speaks volumes because Kentucky had been a state for approximately 30 years even back in those days.

"Of the 816.5 acres (330.4 ha) that Thomas held in Kentucky, he lost all but 200 acres (81 ha) of his land in court disputes over property titles.[25] Frustrated over the lack of security provided by the Kentucky title survey system in the courts, Thomas sold the remaining land he held in Kentucky in 1814, and began planning a move to Indiana, where the land survey process was more reliable and the ability for an individual to retain land titles was more secure.'

So obviously Lincoln and his family had difficulties with the corrupt Kentucky courts back then. Add in the stain of slavery which Kentucky supported at that time adds more depth to the move.

So let's move along for a few years to the aftermath of the Civil War and when the neo Confederates took over the Kentucky legislature to where it has been a "corrupt" and "bloody land" since. That's why it continues to be 46th in the United States or worse in just about every category.

The question is why do the good people in Kentucky continually allow their state government and local governments to continue to keep their state into being a total shithole in so many regards? Why hasn't Kentucky tried to emulate its more successful neighbors and other areas of the country rather than putting on the blinders and saying how great their state is. When in fact, Kentucky hasn't ever been known outside of Kentucky as a great state overall and has always been at the bottom of US states. This isn't just a recent phenomena but something that has been going on for generations.

All the while the state of Kentucky aka Commonwealth remains overall a net exporter of people and has been doing so for generations. Yet, despite all the boasting and bragging Kentucky doesn't hit the mark in any relevant statistical category whether it be education, incomes, job creation, child abuse, elder abuse, crime control, etc. In any positive aspect, Kentucky isn't even in the top 10 much less top 20 out of any state in anything except those facets which are bad for society and this has been the case for decades.

The question that ought to be asked is that "You don't like being criticized or stereotyped yet you continue to do the things that perpetuate the stereotype and a fair one that Kentucky is full of inbred idiots"

Constantly, I receive comments from Kentuckians regarding the facts and they easily perpetuate the stereotype and instead of coming up with well written or well said comments, most of them prove that they are total Grade A All Kentuckian Farm Fresh morons. This isn't just in my dealings with individual Kentuckians on CL but also Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and so many other forums its almost laughable.

Every state has its share of derelicts and uneducated boobs, its just that Kentucky has far more than its share of such people regardless of their religious beliefs, politics, etc. When I read comments from Kentucky, I can't believe that after 12 years of primary education that a person cannot write in a relatively intelligent manner. There are people from Third World developing nations in Asia, Africa, South America that speak better English as a second language than about half of the Kentucky residents that I have met and I have pretty good sample size over the years having lived there several years. I've spoken to Yoruba speakers from Nigeria in West Africa that make more sense than your average Kentucky resident.

Oh and in response to the poster that blames outsiders for causing Kentucky's problems and issues, that's probably the most ridiculous thing I have heard or read. Considering that out of state migration to Kentucky makes up a very small percentage of all Kentuckians ever over a couple of decade period and that there are 4.4 million Kentucky residents, its laughable to blame someone on your borders or even some other state for being the systematic cause of the economic, social problems and the crappy educational system that exists in most places in Kentucky. There are a few outlying data points that could be talked about with Kentucky schools in there are good ones in Lexington and Louisville depending on if they are private schools or even a few public schools but overall the system is in total disrepair and having a population of morons doesn't give much of a base for improvements.

I've constantly heard that erroneous statement made about Kentucky and its problems being brought upon it by outsiders. Despite the fact that native born Kentuckians have been the vast majority of the population Kentucky still remains at the very bottom of all US rankings. Even more laughable is that Kentucky and its politicians both Republican and Democratic continue to do the dumbest things to appeal to their core constituents instead of bringing Kentucky into the modern age. Even after 27 years since the Kentucky Educational Reform Act, Kentucky schools are still near the bottom of the US rankings not to mention Kentucky and its colleges don't even make it to the top 100 in colleges in the United States.

Meanwhile, Kentuckians have a long lasting circle the wagons mentality just like fundamentalist Christians do when someone attacks their very core beliefs whether or not they are incorrect or not. Even more laughable is that Kentuckians exhibit this circle the wagons mentality every time someone says something snarky about their state, standard of living, education system, etc. Instead of coming up with something intelligent or witty or a good response your average Kentuckian proves the very stereotype that they hate. I've never seen a community or society of people who are more thin skinned than your average Kentuckian. Most states if someone doesn't agree with you, its usually some snide response or oh well. In Kentucky, the billies of society get all kinds of butthurt and upset because someone dares to question the cleanliness of the trailer park.

Much less that anyone dare say that the emperor has no clothes or that said group has an educational problem no matter how true and how substantive those comments or conversations might be. Kentuckians in general have very thin skin and get easily upset and offended over the most minor comments. As if they really are deluded enough to believe that their little trailer park on the Ohio, Cumberland, or other rivers is actually number one in anything except maybe basketball. Of which very few people eat and clothe and educate themselves via basketball which for some obtuse reasoning is king in Corntucky. Even in surrounding states in most people they don't associate the most important things in their lives with basketball. In most of those states, people consider the most important thing their income, standard of living, family, life events, etc.

It reminds me of a moron in Louisville on TV a few years ago either 2012 or 2013 stating that the basketball championship was the most important thing that ever happened in their life. What a laughable concept that all of these morons including the one who was on TV commenting to the interviewer said it was the most important thing? As if family, income, college or trade school graduation etc wasn't the most important thing or some real life even that actually matters. That type of mentality doesn't say much for your state and its culture.

Why the good people of Kentucky refuse to do their civic responsibility and upgrade their society, culture, economy, and educational system is amazing especially in light of all the social issues and civic related problems their state faces. The question is are they incompetent and plain stupid or they too weak to actually stand up to those who are running the system that keeps their state in perpetual darkness.

University of Kentucky students and fans burning a couch in Lexington, Kentucky which is an event which has happened for many years. In true Kentucky fashion, these morons set on fire a couch in celebration of their basketball team winning some various even. In many of these celebrations, the white trash morons of Kentucky flip over cars, burn couches, and generally show their public stupidity. Stay classy Kentucky because you're in need of a whole lot of class.

More of Privatizing the Profits and Socializing the Losses

Republicans always talk about being fiscally conservative and against big government spending but only that big government spending that doesn't apply to them. They are against food stamps and Medicaid/Medicare all the while being for farm subsidies for Congressmen and Congresswoman like Joni Ernst and former Rep. Michelle Bachman. When it comes to corporate tax breaks or incentives for big business they would never think of screwing over old people on pensions or Social Security or the disabled. Look at their war on working class and middle class people for the better part of 35 years with the fallacy of Trickle Down Economics proposed by Ronald Reagan and then carried on through their supply side lackeys in Congress and government over the last 35 years.

Not to mention their war on the environment and the Nixonian War on Drugs which has been a colossal and massive failure along with the massive increase of incarceration costs and incarcerations over the years of minor drug offenders who only were caught with a joint but helps out the prison for profit system that they have openly set up and happily embraced with open arms.

With all the blather about out of control government spending it might be added that the national debt tripled under Ronald Reagan and then doubled again under George W Bush. Even George HW Bush added 1.4 trillion onto the debt from 1989 until January 1993. Reagan took the debt from 1 trillion in 1981 to 2.9 trillion in 1989. Little George W increased the debt from 5.7 trillion to 10.7 trillion by the end of his term. All the while the Congressional Republicans and their supporters have consistently blamed Democrats for the spending issues of 2008 to 2017. Which is laughable because the party of smaller and more lean government controlled the Congress from 2011 until present and in 2011 the national debt was 14 trillion dollars on January 1, 2011 when the Republicans took over Congress and the House of Represntatives that makes all spending bills and where they originate in the Congress.

At this current date despite having a Republican controlled House of Representatives since January 1, 2011, the US National debt has increased from 14 trillion dollars to 20.45 trilliion dollars on October 31, 2017. That's a 6 trillion dollar increase is 6.75 years which comes out to about a trillion dollars a year debt that the US is running up. All the while the so called fiscal conservatives talk about being conservative yet spending a trillion dollars a year more than the government takes in for revenue.

They're no different than the Democrats that want to tax and spend everything into oblivion so you talk about draining the swamp but its a big lie you are being told. Even during the reign of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid from 2007 to 2011 the debt was raised approximately 1 trillion a year during that period. No difference between either of these political parties when it comes to government spending and waste. To look and think otherwise to blind oneself to a massive fallacy and living a lie.

Low Wages: A Real Problem in Louisville as well as rural Kentucky

Louisville has been a low wage city compared to many other surrounding metro areas for decades and often even in more specialized trades and professional fields, the wage in Louisvlle are 15 to 20 percent lower than other neighboring cities such as Indianapolis, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Columbus, etc Even compared nationwide with the cost of living being much different in other cities versus Louisville is that Louisville ranks towards the bottom with regard to social mobility and wage increases. In other words, Louisvlle employers do everything they can to keep the wages down. Evidence of this involves all of the box flipping jobs and low wage factories in places like Jefferson Riverport, Bluegrass Industrial Park, and other well known industrial and distribution warehouses in the Louisvlle region. But that's not all and Louisville is well known for sticking it to anyone who actually works for a living. Which ends up hurting the local economy in Louisville through decreased spending power and people not being able to participate fully in the economic life of the city. Poor and impoverished people rarely are buying good housing, new cars, and new products and services rather spending it just to survive and stay afloat.

With people like Greg Fischer and the spineless and gutless Metro Council running things I can say good luck for the Jobs With Justice folks because they're going to need all the resistance and help they can get. Louisville prides itself a Compassionate City under Greg Fischer who locally coined the term from what I can best gather but he's totally full of malarkey since I decided to keep it clean and family oriented. In other words, Greg Fischer is more full of it than the cattle and livestock barns are at the Kentucky State Fair in August.

Louisville could give a care less about having decent wages and jobs for its citizens. Otherwise, it wouldn't be a city ran by a myraid of low wage jerkwater employers as well as the temp services paying employees 30 to 40 percent less than their counterparts in other cities in decent paying jobs. Louisville talks the talk but it refuses to walk the walk. Which is why countless untold hundreds if not thousands of homeless are wandering Louisville streets and sleeping under the bridges and underpasses of the city. All while the nonsensical garbage is being espoused that Louisville takes care of its own. What a total laugher from the Possiblity City and the Compassionate City. A total joke. Louisville is like a joke wrapped in a farce and that's what their two mottos of being compassionate and a Possiblity City is all about.

Partial Explanation Why Public Universities and Institutions Are Morally Bankrupt

At a time when the US economy isn't exactly booming along despite the job gains along with low wages, university and college students are having difficulties paying their student loans and their other obligations to the point that many of them either have stopped paying and are in default. All the while public institutions like the University of Louisville are lavishly paying out huge salaries to athletic directors, provosts, university presidents (see former U of L honcho James Ramsey) along with their executive staffs. Meanwhile most college students are surviving on very little or nothing while the fat cats at universities like U of L are raking in the big bucks while their lower level staff gets insurance cuts and hiring freezes. All the while the athletic program masquerading as a university ranks in the 150s and 160s as a university in the US News and World Report as it has regularly ranked over the past several years. U of L despite is admission to the Atlantic Coast Conference has been regularly ranked in the 160s and 170s as recently as 176th in 2013, 161 in 2014, 161 for 2015, 168 in 2016, 171st for 2017 and the ranking for 2018 is 165th of which it tied another university.

Yet the hucksters at the Belknap campus seem to always be touting their excellent educational record as such and that we should all drink the Kool Aid along with them. At a university that despite its athletic prestige on the wane talks about its educational progress when for years its been nothing more than a laughingstock where the university board gave free rein to a coterie of crooks and criminals who were padding their pockets with their ill gotten gains. As well as padding the pockets of the accomplices in criminality that are so evident in the college hallways these days. One should start to take note of organized criminality as such when kids are graduating college with tens of thousands of dollars in student loan debt and getting an average starting salary of 30 to 45k a year while the university head honchos are getting 350k, 700k, and getting money on top that from a university foundation.

It boggles the mind that such public corruption takes place but its clear that the people who are bankrupting this country are in fact clearly on the take.

Governor Screw Job and His Sycophants

Notice how governor Beavis Butthead of Kentucky is making sure that lawmakers get their pensions while 85 percent of their system is adquately funded while thousands of teachers in Kentucky only have their pension system funded at 14 percent. Sounds like the legislators and good old boy politicians need to take a haircut. More shenanigans from the bunch of hucksters and snake oil salesmen. All the while for the past several decades Kentucky has been one of the worst ran states in America with both Democrats and Republicans contributing to the problem. Since many former conservative Democrats later became Republicans over the past few decades they are just as much of the problem as the liberal free spenders that think you can overspend constantly and still be prosperous.

Add in the fact that historically over the past several decades that Kentucky is one of the worst ran states with the 47th ranked personal income in America among the states only Arkansas, West Virginia and Mississippi are poorer. Add in the fact that Kentucky has ranked 44th or worse in personal income and family income since 1939, a period of 78 years as of 2017 which is most peoples average lifespan. Add in the fact that Kentucky is 47th in percentage of the population with college degrees and in the 40s among the 50 states in public education from K to 12. Now you can paritally see why Kentucky is backwards and economically depressed in so many of its areas that it resembles a Third World nation in the United States.

Ever wonder why the politicians are more interested in polishing their seats with their ass than actually doing something that would help people because they benefit from a corrupt system.

Governor Screw Job

How you shouldn't question Matt Bevin or better yet he should be called Governor Beavis after the Beavis and Butthead character so prominent about 25 years ago. Perhaps even more apropo would be that he's actually Governor Butthead because he's proven that during his short time in office of just a couple of years that he's not the least bit interested in coming to common ground to figure out solutions to problems. Yet, he's just another corporatist shill voted in by the increasingly foolhardy electorate that is desperate for solutions to common problems yet vote in people that will end up torching what needs to be fixed with a flawed system. The Democratic Party of Kentucky has had decades to start to clean up the mess in Kentucky but they refused to do their constitutionally mandated job so instead the desperate electorate voted Bevin because at least he promised them solutions to all their problems. Including the inane and insane idea that government is the problem and never does anything right. However, Beavis Butthead drags down some extra cash (from government) like all these hypocrites while complaining about the government. If he was really interested he would forsake his gubernatorial salary and try to come up with common sense solutions to Kentucky and its problem. Instead, he's proven to be the hands and under the control of the multinational corporations including that of Braidy Industries of which he and his cabinet cannot name investors in that firm building a steel plant in Eastern Kentucky.

Now he's going to end up gutting the public pension program which is something that taxpayers and government employees have been participating it for many years in return for having some semblance of a secure retirement. All the while corporate employers have largely gutted the corporate pension programs in favor of employee paid in 401k retirement programs without contributing to the program and passing on giving their employees any of the money. Which saves the corporation money of course unless they give money as a matching contribution.

You can guarantee that Beavis Butthead will figure out a way to say that having a pension system is too expensive to the people of a state that is already desperately poor in so many areas and regularly ranks towards the bottom of the statistics in personal income and family income. Socialize the losses and privatize the profits which is nothing more than the Republican motto all the while telling the people that you are working for them. Not that the Democrats are any better but people seeking solutions often have desperate ideas for matters that end up making them more desperate in the long run.

Bomb Cratered Streets Louisville Style Part II

In my first installment, I discussed the Louisville issue of bomb cratered streets and infrastructure issues including that of the public screwing tha the taxpayers of Louisvlle, Kentucky, and Southern Indiana are getting via increased tolls on the Kennedy and Lincoln bridges as well as the East End Bridge.

Now I think its time to pay attention to various Louisville streets that might as well be pockmarked like the moon with the various road issues and lack of attention that has been paid to the Louisville streets over the years.

Dixie Highway comes to mind of being the biggest clusterf--k around when it comes to Louisville roadways. Bumpy through about 20 miles of its existence from downtown all the way to the Jefferson Hardin County line. For years this road was a main thoroughfare from Louisville across the southern states. Yet after the interstate system was built in the 1960s and 1970s, it entered a rapid period of decline.

Why is it that its taken the better part of a generation of 20 years to figure out how to configure Dixie Highway to be a safe, efficient, and high traffic thoroughfare through the populated areas of Southwestern Louisville including Shively, Pleasure Ridge Park, Valley Station, and Kosmosdale, etc. All the while the road has been bumpy and uneven for years due to lack of maintenance and lack of engineering standards to keep the road as a major roadway safe and efficient. Add in the fact that the drivers of Dixie make it more dangerous with their lack of driving skills and lack of common sense. That should be strictly enforced by Louisville Metro and the Kentucky State Police but they are too busy solving other crimes and problems in the city nowadays to do much traffic enforcement.

However, they used to regularly hand out tickets on Dixie Highway back in the 90s and 2000s era on a regular basis and didn't shy away from pulling people over. The only place you might find them sitting now is south of the Gene Snyder Freeway because their traffic enforcement is lax between Valley Station and downtown at best. All the while residents are regularly in accidents because of lane switching, tailgaters, stop light running and various other bad driving practices.

Add in the fact that the road is poorly lit and poorly maintained as well as tremendously bumpy in many sections with the roadway having raised surfaces and falling apart lends to the problems as well. Too many businesses and entry ways to cause issues as well and an overbearing traffic load on the highway system.

Why Louisville can't get its public works system correct to get that road fixed properly is beyond me despite years of planning and community discussions that even though some work has been done, not much progress has been made. It shouldn't take an act of Congress or a military action to get something done to fix a roadway that carries so much of the traffic load for the Southwest Louisville area.

Why the people of Louisville continue to put up with this crap?

There are plenty of downtown surface streets in Louisville that could use some TLC as well especially in the Downtown and Old Louisville as well as Butchertown and Smoketown areas. Too numerous to mention here I would love to video all of the bombed out streets of Louisville and show the public what a mess they truly are. Maybe that might get the attention of the Metro Government that instead of polishing their nails and having a manicure could actually do some work and get roads fixed which is an essential function of government.

Also, who in the hell is the idiot in Louisville in charge of the traffic light system? They should be fired and forced to dig ditches for the rest of their days instead of trying to unsuccessfully manage traffic lights so that people aren't spending an eternity sitting at lights because of lack of synchronization.

I remember back in 2009 that there was to be total sychronization of the traffic signals in Louisville, KY since the city under Jerry Abramson was supposed to be fixing that problem. Yet its 8 years later and that still hasn't occurred under the Greg Fischer administration. They've did nothing except waste the last eight years in getting someone to do their job and fix the problems that cause people to have to sit wastefully for hours at the lights every year when there is no traffic or very little traffic running. Its mind bogglingly stupid to have such a system that could be used to save on gas costs, wear and tear on cars, and time and yet not use it efficiently.

You're telling me that Louisville Public Works can't do its job and actually commit to fix the traffic light issues. Despite the fact that in 2009, the Mayor of Louisvile, Jerry Abramson chose to take over the maintenance of the system from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet which inlcuded maintenance on all state roads and numbered roads within the jurisdiction of Louisville Metro. Of which now the city of Louisville ie Louisville Metro now is responsible for the upkeep, snow removal, and roadway improvements on all former state routes.

Yet under the incompetent and clueless Greg Fischer administration, the road network has been increasingly falling into disrepair and lack of upkeep despite the promises of a clueless and incompetent mayor that refuses to take public safety seriously by fixing roadways. Instead he's more worried about liberal agenda items such as having more bike lanes and more sustainability ideas which add very little to the city other than more waste and more inefficiency rather than fixing what needs to be fixed.

Louisville, thinks as itself as a world class city, but its a delusion with the political and business leaders in Louisville being largely ineffectual and incompetent to promoting change, progress and improvement. All the while playing the usual constiuent games to get reelected while the overglorified trailer park burns down around them. With crime and murders spiking through the roof, these political games are jeopardizing the future of the region and taxpayers. Too bad most people are too ignorant or self absorbed to actually know or care about anything that doesn't hit them in the face.
