Kentucky (Louisville
and Environs)
What is it about you
people from Kentucky? Its funny to read the comments on here about
Shepherdsville because having lived real close to the Bullitt County
line the stories are quite true because I've known a few decent
people that realize what a dump Bullitt County in general is. First
you can start with the drug issues with all the pill heads, meth
heads, pot heads, etc. You can tell that lot of these people are
idiots and pretty much a drain on society. Shepherdsville is a joke
of a city or town whatever you would like to call it. From the crappy
run down buildings to trash on the streets, etc, it looks like a pig
sty. Not that Louisville is any better because for a major city its a
seriously run down s##thole in a lot of places. Dixie Highway is a
joke of an area and West End, Newburg, Buechel, South Louisville,
Fairdale, Shively, etc is pretty much all a dump. You only find
better areas to the eastern side of the city at least past
Breckenridge Lane. Hikes Lane and Buechel used to be a nice middle
class area but its a run down dump now. Breckenridge Lane is starting
to look like a Third World country especially near Hikes Point. What
is it with these apartment owners letting every piece of trash run
over everything and not picking up the premises. The last nice areas
of Louisville are the outer part of the Highlands, St. Matthews,
Hurstbourne, Middletown, Anchorage, Stony Brook, Prospect, Graymoor
Devondale, etc. Those areas and those in between are still pretty
nice but even compared to the outer suburbs of say Northside
Indianapolis or Bellemeade in Nashville, they are losing their
luster.
Louisville at one time
used to be a pretty nice city and even with the West End it used to
be pretty decent. At least until they let the apes take over and run
down the quality of life. West Louisville used to be a nice area
until the degenerates from the Central City squatters camp moved into
that area in the 1960s. Then it went directly south. Now they've
pretty much ran it into the ground and now they've moved into the
South Dixie area causing problems. Taylor Blvd and that whole area is
another dump of a place and even within earshot of the Downs, its a
hole. The only real nice areas west of I 65 are parts of PRP, Waverly
Hills, Southern Parkway, Auburndale, etc. Most of the rest went to
the dogs. But here's another thing that I noticed in Kentucky and
Louisville and that's the mass amount of uneducated and chronically
stupid individuals compared to most other places in the Midwest and
upper South. No wonder Kentucky is at the bottom in so many
categories because the educational system in Kentucky is of low
quality and its apparent in the educational status and common sense
of so many.
Kentucky has been the
44th ranked state or lower in income since 1939
Kentucky is 47th in the
percentage of those with a college degree
Kentucky is among the
bottom five states in percentage of smokers, obesity, drug use, and
various other factors
Kentucky is among one
of the five most corrupt states when it comes to corruption in state
and local governments
Kentucky was recently
announced as being the worst run state in the entire Union
Kentucky is among the
bottom states in achievement in education
The Jefferson County
Public Schools ranked 118th out of 154 Kentucky School Districts by
the US Department of Education
Kentucky has no top
universities in science and technology out of the top 100 schools
that offer programs in those fields
Kentucky ranks first
among the states in cases of child abuse
Kentucky among the
bottom five in spending for dependents who have been abused
Kentucky consistently
ranks in the bottom five when it comes to educational achievement
including basic education
Kentucky ranks among
the worst states when it comes to deaths from smoking
Kentucky ranks among
the worst states when it comes to suicides
Sorry folks but I've
lived in other states before moving to Kentucky and with the
exception of a few places most of it leaves a lot to be desired. You
can tell by talking to the average person about world events, the
weather, or something not involving sports. With some exceptions of
better educated people, its hard to get a good conversation going
unless someone brings up basketball. No wonder the state is in the
stone ages when it comes to other things. Maybe its such a mess
because the people have no common sense for the most part.
